Dr. Carmen Goh is the Manager of Eureka Synergy Sdn Bhd, where she is also the Research and Development Manager of Green Plant Organic Fertilizer Sdn Bhd, one of the sister company of Eureka Synergy. In 2016, she obtained her Ph.D degree in Plant Pathology from The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. She also received her 1st class degree of BSc (Hons) Plant Biotechnology from the same university in 2012. In addition, Dr. Carmen Goh is an affiliate member of the Young Scientist Network-Academy Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) and won the Young Investigator Award in 2015. She is experienced in sustainable waste management in palm oil mill to be converted into value-added products, especially in the production of organic fertilizer. She actively engaged in research projects with research institutes and universities, such as The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, University Putra Malaysia (UPM), University Technology Malaysia (UTM) and FGV R&D Sdn Bhd. Her research areas focused on the molecular plant-pathogen-biocontrol agent interactions between oil palm, Ganoderma boninense and Trichoderma spp., specifically on the formulation of organic fertilizer incorporated with active biocontrol agents to control the basal stem rot (BSR) disease in oil palm. She is also looking into the formulation of microbial cocktail which consists of various beneficial microbes to facilitate the fermentation process of organic fertilizer.
